was Jesus actually born on dec. 25…. most probably not… according to the new testament there were sheperd’s keeping watch over their flocks by night at the time of Christs birth…
it’s doubtful that shepard’s spent the winter pasturing their sheep on fields of snow and ice…but december 25 th is a day chosen to celebrate the birth of Christ regardless of the actual date of His arrival.
the important thing is not the date of his arrival in the flesh , but that He did in fact come to earth as God in the flesh…to walk among men and experience the same trials and temptations of mortal men..and remain sinless,to serve as a mediator between God and man… to provide a means of salvation by grace through faith… to provide hope for the hopeless … strength for the weak.. eternal life for all who accept Him as their Savior..
today is the day the world has chosen to celebrate the birth of Christ… it is best celebrated by people who have a personal daily relationship with the Son of the true and living God….. for it is they that know that Jesus still lives in the souls of men….
it’s my christmas prayer that you are counted among that number… or that you realize your lost sinful condition before it is everlastingly too late…
